General Helper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Helper to join our pipe welding workshop team. The General Helper will assist with various tasks to support the welding process and ensure a smooth operation in the workshop. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of workshop tools and safety protocols, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support welders by preparing workstations, arranging tools, and positioning pipes and components for welding.
• Help with the setup and maintenance of welding equipment, ensuring tools are clean and in good working condition.
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas efficiently.
• Load and unload materials safely, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Keep the workshop organized and clean by managing waste, cleaning up spills, and handling scrap materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as directed, and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Adhere to workshop safety procedures, including the proper handling and storage of materials and tools.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about project status, challenges, and requirements.
• Assist in record-keeping and documentation related to equipment maintenance and safety inspections.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of workshop tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of welding tools and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and technical specifications accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and handle materials.

Requirements:

• +2 years experience
• Legally authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test.
