Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Rig Welder to join our team for outdoor work. The Rig Welder will be responsible for welding and fabricating rig components and structures in various outdoor settings. This role requires proficiency in welding techniques, the ability to work in challenging environmental conditions, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on rig structures, pipelines, and components using techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-cored arc welding.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding specifications and requirements.
  • Fabricate and repair rig components, including structural steel, pipelines, and pressure vessels.
  • Inspect welds for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) such as visual inspections and pressure testing to verify the integrity of welds and components.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment in outdoor conditions.
  • Follow industry standards, codes, and regulations related to rig welding and construction.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment and rig components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding and equipment issues in the field.
  • Adapt to challenging weather conditions and terrain, including extreme temperatures and uneven ground.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and deviations from specifications to supervisors or project managers.
  • Communicate effectively about project status, challenges, and requirements with team members and supervisors.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions and adapt to various environments.

Requirements:

  • +2 years experience
  • Must be Welder Certified
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.
  • Able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test.
