Job Summary:
The Salesperson at Houstaff Professional Group plays a critical role in driving revenue
growth by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones. This position
requires a dynamic individual with strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and
a deep understanding of the staffing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries and markets.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, client needs, and competitor
    activities.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of
    satisfaction and retention.
  • Proactively address client concerns, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer
    service.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their staffing needs and identify
    opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services.

3. Consultative Selling:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives and challenges.
  • Recommend staffing solutions that align with client needs and provide maximum value.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals tailored to each client’s
    unique requirements.

4. Proposal and Contract Negotiation:

  • Prepare detailed proposals outlining staffing solutions, pricing, and terms.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as recruiters and operations teams, to ensure
    alignment between client expectations and service delivery.

5. Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities using
    CRM software.
  • Monitor progress against sales targets, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to
    accelerate the sales cycle.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management on a regular basis.

6. Networking and Lead Generation:

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand professional
    network and generate leads.
  • Utilize various channels, including social media, email marketing, and cold calling, to
    prospect for new business opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target client
    organizations.

7. Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to
    staffing and recruitment.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs, workshops, and professional development
    opportunities to enhance sales skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2 years of sales experience in any of these industries (Maritime, Industrial and
    Manufacturing, Hospitality.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
    environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of an
    organization.
