We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tool Room Assistant to join our team. The Tool Room Assistant will be responsible for managing and maintaining tools and equipment within the tool room, ensuring they are in excellent condition and readily available for use. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of tools and equipment, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the tool room, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Check tools in and out, keeping accurate records of tool usage and inventory levels.

  • Inspect and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on tools, such as sharpening and lubrication, or coordinate repairs as needed.

  • Monitor and manage tool inventory, including ordering and stocking tools and replacement parts as required.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and update records to prevent shortages or overstocking.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that all tools are used and stored according to safety guidelines.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.

  • Maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to tool usage and maintenance.

  • Provide support to team members by ensuring they have the tools and equipment needed for their tasks.
  • Offer guidance on the proper use and maintenance of tools.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform basic tool maintenance and repairs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • +2 years experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.
  • Able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test.
